A 30-year-old Kenyan man from Bungoma County has shared a deeply emotional account of how his marriage fell apart after his wife developed a close relationship with an Uber driver, ultimately leaving him financially and emotionally devastated.

Posian Wanyama told Tales By Titus 254 that his life took a hopeful turn shortly after high school when he secured a job as a petrol station attendant in Taita Taveta, earning KSh 15,000 a month.
How Wanyama met wife
He later adopted the name Bakari Omar after converting to Islam, a period during which he met a young woman working as a waitress.

Their relationship quickly grew, and with the support of his then-employer, a Somali businesswoman who assisted him financially, he was able to pay dowry and formally settle into married life.
In a bid to build a stable future, Wanyama invested part of his savings into opening a hotel for his new wife to manage.
It was here, he says, that the turning point in his life began. According to him, an Uber driver became a frequent customer at the establishment.
Wanyama’s wife got into affair
Over time, the two allegedly exchanged contacts and developed a close relationship, something Wanyama only came to suspect later.
By 2023, Wanyama says his wife became pregnant, but doubts about the child’s paternity led him to seek a DNA test amid suspicions of infidelity.
He claims that as time passed, the relationship between him and his wife deteriorated significantly.
“When the baby was around two years old, she changed completely. She became proud and distant. At times, she would even push food towards me like I was not important,” he recalled.

Day Wanyama confirmed his fears
He further alleges that a friend later informed him of repeated encounters between his wife and the Uber driver, which raised his suspicions even further.
“One day I went to the hotel and saw them together in his car. Their behaviour made me realise something was not right,” he said.
The situation reportedly escalated when, while he was at work, neighbours informed him that his wife had vacated their home.
She took all their household belongings and left their child at a neighbour’s house wrapped in a bedsheet.
How Wanyama’s wife vanished
Wanyama also claims that she took his phone, ID card, and went to the bank where she withdrew all his savings, leaving the account empty.
Shortly after, he says he learned that his wife had married the Uber driver, bringing their relationship to a painful and abrupt end.
Left with nothing, Wanyama says he was forced to relocate to seek a fresh start as a single father. He now lives in Naivasha, in an abandoned underground tank, as he struggles to rebuild his life from scratch.

Despite the hardship, he says he is holding on to hope for a better future, even as he reflects on what he describes as one of the most difficult chapters of his life.
Since his wife took away his phone and ID card, it has been difficult for him to find a new job without paperwork.
Man stranded after wife left
In a similar incident, a man named Meja Moses Urio was stranded after his beautiful wife abandoned him, taking the kids with her without any communication about where they were going.
Moses told the media that he was desperately searching for his spouse, Doreen Christofa Issangya, and their two children, Grayson and Ovelia.
The devastated father lamented that he had no idea why his 26-year-old wife had left, after which he appealed to her to return home so they could raise the children together.
