Senate President Godswill Akpabio has declared that Akwa Ibom State will deliver the highest number of votes for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the South-South region during the 2027 general elections.

Akpabio made the statement during an APC stakeholders’ meeting in Uyo, where he praised Tinubu’s administration for ongoing economic and infrastructure reforms. He expressed confidence that the people of Akwa Ibom would massively support the President’s re-election bid because of what he described as the administration’s commitment to national development.

The Senate President also urged members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state to remain united and focused ahead of the 2027 elections, stressing that internal unity would strengthen the party’s chances at the polls.

Akpabio further assured Tinubu of continued political support from the South-South, insisting that the region appreciates the President’s policies and leadership style despite ongoing economic challenges across the country.
