The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has threatened to seal off any house in Abuja that is used as the headquarters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) by the faction led by Taminu Turaki.………
Wike also warned that any bank that allows the Turaki-led PDP to open an account for the sale of nomination forms for the 2027 election will be in trouble.
The former Rivers governor noted that any attempt by the Turaki faction to sell form to any aspirant for the 2027 polls will amount to duping Nigerians.
Wike boasted that any day Turaki opens a bank account for the PDP under the current circumstances, he will be derobed as a Senior Advocate of Nigeria (SAN)
The minister stated this on Wednesday while fielding questions from newsmen during his monthly media chat.
In his words, “Any bank that allows Turaki-led PDP to open an account for the sale of nomination forms will be in trouble. I will seal off any house that allows them to use it as the PDP headquarters.”
Recall that the PDP Board of Trustees (BOT), led by former Senate President Adolphus Wabara, recently announced that it had taken over the national leadership of the party following the Supreme Court judgement.
The PDP BoT, in a statement signed by Wabara, said the step was taken based on the Supreme Court ruling of Thursday.
According to him, the judgment of the apex court left the PDP without a recognized leadership, and the BoT had to take over in order to avoid a leadership vacuum in the party.
He argued that the Supreme Court, by its ruling, invalidated the November 2025 National Convention of the PDP held in Ibadan, Oyo State, which produced the Kabiru Tanimu Turaki-led National Working Committee of our Party.
