Ogene drew attention to former Vice President Alhaji Atiku Abubakar’s registration with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), which he stated occurred in the previous year. According to Ogene, the courts did not move swiftly to resolve any legal matters surrounding that registration during that period.………
He then contrasted this with the situation following Mr. Peter Obi’s registration with the ADC, asserting that court activity notably increased afterward. Ogene challenged the public to contradict his account, calling for clarity on events that unfolded between January and March 7th.
In his words, “Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, former Vice President of our dear country, with all due respect, had registered in the ADC since last year (2025). Why didn’t the courts suddenly become efficient and effective in disposing of the case then? But as soon as Mr. Peter Obi registered. I’m speaking to facts. I want people to contradict me. I’d like to know what happened in January, what happened in February, until March 7th.”
