The former lawmaker was abducted while travelling with colleagues, he was later killed despite efforts made by his family and associates to secure his release, Dickson said the case shows the worsening security situation in the country.
According to him, the growing cases of kidnapping and violent attacks across Nigeria are becoming alarming, he called for stronger action from authorities to protect citizens and stop further killings.
Dickson explained that Adamu was more than a political ally, he described him as a close friend with whom he had worked since their days in the House of Representatives in 2007, he said their relationship was built on trust and shared political ideals.
He recalled Adamu’s role during Nigeria’s political crisis when late President Umaru Musa Yar’Adua was ill, Dickson said Adamu supported efforts that led to the transfer of executive powers to then Vice President Goodluck Jonathan, he noted that Adamu played an important role in legislative discussions during that period.
Dickson added that Adamu chaired a strategic team under the Nigeria First Forum, the group resisted pressure during the political process that eventually shaped the Doctrine of Necessity, this development helped stabilize the government at the time…....…
