One of his final social media posts, shared on 22 April, showed him travelling to the coastal city of Mombasa aboard the Madaraka Express railway service.

Since then, all attempts to reach him have failed. In an emotional appeal circulated online, the family member wrote:

“It has been around 20 days since we got news of him.”

The family says they have already contacted the High Commission of Bangladesh in Kenya as well as Dutch diplomatic authorities in an effort to trace him.

However, they say there has been no breakthrough so far. The case has sparked concern online, with many people sharing the appeal in the hope that someone in Kenya may have seen or interacted with Emon during his travels.

Kenya remains one of East Africa’s most popular tourist destinations, attracting visitors from around the world to attractions including Mombasa, safari parks, beaches and cultural heritage sites.

However, disappearances involving foreign nationals can become difficult to investigate when there is limited information about their movements or accommodation.

The family is now urging anyone with information to come forward, saying even the smallest lead could help reunite them with their loved one.
