The incident happened in Port Harcourt, Rivers State. According to reliable sources, Adawari contacted some kidnappers and paid them to abduct his elder brother, Mr. Tammy Samuel Ogolo, and their sister. But in a surprising twist, the kidnappers refused the job after meeting the targets. They reportedly told Adawari that his brother is “a good man with a kind heart” who does not deserve such treatment. Instead of carrying out the plan, they turned against Adawari and kidnapped him.
Family sources say Adawari is the first son of the second wife of Senior Pastor Samuel Ogolo, the General Overseer of a popular new-generation church in Port Harcourt. The family is well-known in the area because of the church’s large following. Many church members are now in shock, wondering how such a thing could happen inside a pastor’s family.
The kidnappers have since made contact with the family. They are demanding ₦10 million ransom to release Adawari. Family members are said to be very worried and confused. One relative who spoke on condition of anonymity said, “We never expected something like this. Adawari was planning evil against his own blood, but now he is the one suffering. We are begging the kidnappers to have mercy.”
