Fidelity Bank Plc has announced a strong financial performance for the 2025 financial year, recording a 45.6 percent rise in gross earnings from N1.04 trillion in 2024 to N1.52 trillion.

The bank disclosed its audited financial results for the year ended December 31, 2025, showing significant growth across key income lines and a stronger balance sheet position.

Profit Before Tax stood at N347.7 billion, supported by higher interest income and improved earnings from fees and commissions. Interest income increased by 38.7 percent year-on-year to N1.11 trillion from N803.1 billion in 2024, while fees and commission income rose by 44.7 percent to N113.4 billion compared to N78.4 billion recorded in the previous year.

The bank’s total assets also grew by 18.6 percent to N10.46 trillion, up from N8.82 trillion in 2024. Customer deposits climbed by 16.1 percent to N6.89 trillion, highlighting growing customer confidence and the institution’s expanding market strength.

Net loans and advances, however, declined slightly by 2.4 percent to N4.28 trillion from N4.39 trillion, following repayments of matured obligations by customers.

Fidelity Bank further improved its capital base during the period, with eligible capital rising to N561 billion, exceeding the regulatory benchmark of N500 billion for banks with international operations. Its Capital Adequacy Ratio also strengthened to 30.94 percent as of December 31, 2025, compared to 23.47 percent in 2024.

The lender currently serves over 9.1 million customers through its digital banking platforms, 255 business offices across Nigeria, and its UK subsidiary, FidBank UK Limited.

Fidelity Bank has continued to receive recognition for innovation and service delivery, winning several local and international awards in 2024. These include the Excellence in Digital Transformation and MSME Banking Award at the BusinessDay BAFI Awards, the Most Innovative Mobile Banking Application Award by Global Business Outlook, and the Best Bank for SMEs in Nigeria award by the Euromoney Awards for Excellence.
