The Primate of the Anglican Church of Nigeria, Henry Chukwudum Ndukuba, has reacted to discussions surrounding the alleged court case linked to former Nigerian President Goodluck Jonathan and his reported political ambition.

Speaking during a church gathering in a video shared by Viable Tv, Primate Ndukuba addressed Jonathan directly and expressed satisfaction over reports that the former president was taken to court. He also stated that he was pleased with what the court reportedly said concerning the matter.

Although there has been no official court ruling publicly confirming whether Jonathan is legally barred from contesting any future election, the cleric advised the former president to protect the reputation he has built over the years.

According to Primate Ndukuba, many Nigerians still respect Jonathan for the peaceful manner in which he handled power during his time in office. He stressed that it would be better for the former president to preserve his good name rather than become involved in political controversies that could damage his legacy.

The cleric further stated that they do not want Jonathan’s “hands to be stained,” a comment many observers believe was directed at the tension and political battles often associated with Nigerian elections.
