Recall Entertainment Region reported that actor Alexx Ekubo died on May 11th, 2026 as a result of stage 4 cancer at a Lagos hospital.
Alexx Ekubo, who was formerly in a relationship with US model Fancy Acholonu, is well known for his roles in romantic comedies and drama films.
The throwback clip, dated July 2024, shows the moment Alexx Ekubo and Ilebaye hopped on the viral dance challenge “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” and by extension, the aftermath sent many into fits of laughter online.
Recall that the viral dance “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” was pioneered by comedian Brain Jotter and by extension many celebrities and content creators worldwide have hopped on the challenge giving the old track a remarkable resurgence.
Alexx Ekubo and Ilebaye jumped on the “Gwo Gwo Gwo Ngwo” challenge; however, Alexx Ekubo, in the clip, jokingly went hard on BBN winner Ilebaye as he accused her of disrespecting him.
During the course of the challenge, the reality TV star follows the rules of the challenge by attempting to run after 38-year-old Alexx Ekubo and lands him a slap.
As Ilebaye Odiniya playfully tried to make advances at Alexx Ekubo, the actor appeared unamused after she jokingly attempted to slap him as per the trend of the challenge.
Realizing that Alexx was not taking the joke lightly, Ilebaye quickly switched gears by apologizing and even teasingly referring to him as “Gen Z papa.”
However, the moment did not end there, as Alexx brought out a cane and jokingly ordered the reality TV star to perform frog jumps, which she immediately complied with.
