A former reverend sister has recounted an embarrassing bathroom incident involving another lady.
In a Facebook post, Kinse Shako Annastasia revealed that the incident happened in 2016 while she was living at Covenant Well. She said what occurred with a fellow reverend sister while she was bathing left her feeling psychologically embarrassed and humiliated.
She explained that despite reporting the incident at the time, nothing was done about it. According to her, the silence and dismissal that followed resulted in trauma she carried for years.
She also mentioned that the other reverend sister was later involved in another incident at the convent, although she did not disclose further details.
Explaining why she decided to speak out, she wrote: “Healing begins when truth is no longer buried in silence.This and many other experiences hurt more than I could handle. And the fact that it happened in the house of God. Lord have mercy”.
