A new update from the examination body has opened another crucial step for candidates navigating their post-UTME journey, offering a limited opportunity to review earlier academic choices while preparations begin for the next phase of result documentation.

The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced that candidates who sat for the 2026 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) can now begin the process of changing their preferred institution or course of study.

The announcement was made on Friday through a statement by JAMB’s spokesperson, Dr Fabian Benjamin, posted online.

According to the board, candidates looking to make such changes are required to visit any of JAMB’s approved Computer-Based Test (CBT) centres to carry out the process, as it cannot be done elsewhere.

In addition, JAMB revealed that the official printing of 2026 UTME result slips will begin on Monday, May 18, 2026, and advised candidates to head to accredited CBT centres for this service as well.

This update comes weeks after JAMB released the 2026 UTME results but withheld the printing of official result slips at the time, leaving candidates with no option other than checking their scores through SMS.
