Govt launches national recruitment for jobs abroad
Meanwhile, the government of Kenya recently launched a recruitment drive to provide skilled and semi-skilled Kenyans with overseas job opportunities.
Recruitment began on November 20, 2024, at the Machakos Technical Institute for the Blind, targeting 20 counties by year-end and extending to all 47 counties.
The first phase sought to create 20,000 job opportunities abroad, with proper documentation required, including certificates of good conduct and passports via E-Citizen.
The initiative aligns with the government’s commitment to leveraging global labour markets and achieving its plan to deploy an average of 5,000 to 10,000 Kenyans for job opportunities abroad.
