The Nigerian Content Development and Monitoring Board (NCDMB) has announced plans to host the 2026 Oil and Gas Midstream and Downstream Stakeholders Summit in Lagos.
The two-day summit is scheduled to hold from May 19 to 20, 2026, at Four Points by Sheraton, Victoria Island, Lagos, and will bring together major players across Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
The event, which will be hosted by the Executive Secretary of NCDMB, Felix Omatsola Ogbe, is expected to attract top government officials, regulators, institutional investors, financiers, operators, EPC contractors, and other critical stakeholders in the energy sector.
According to the organisers, the summit aims to explore emerging opportunities in Nigeria’s rapidly expanding midstream and downstream sectors while promoting stronger collaboration among industry participants.
The gathering comes amid the ongoing implementation of the Petroleum Industry Act (PIA), which has continued to improve transparency and create a more investor-friendly environment in Nigeria’s oil and gas industry.
Industry leaders, technical experts, regulatory agencies, and management teams from various oil and gas companies are expected to participate in discussions focused on investment opportunities, policy direction, and sustainable growth within the sector.
The summit will also examine the implementation of the Nigerian Oil and Gas Industry Content Development Act 2010 and the Ministerial Regulations 2021. In addition, participants will witness the unveiling of the new NCDMB Midstream and Downstream Operating Model.
Organisers said the event would provide stakeholders with opportunities for networking, partnership development, regulatory insights, and access to emerging investment prospects across the oil and gas value chain.
Attendance at the summit is strictly by invitation, while participation remains free for invited stakeholders.
The statement was issued by Obinna Ezeobi, General Manager, Corporate Communications Division, on May 13, 2026.
