Former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, has expressed deep sorrow over the death of Jallul Baba-Ahmed, brother of his 2023 running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed.
In a condolence message shared on Friday, Obi described the loss as shocking and painful, extending his heartfelt sympathies to Datti Baba-Ahmed and the entire Baba-Ahmed family.
“My dear Brother, Dr. Datti Baba-Ahmed, I am deeply shocked and saddened by the sudden passing of your beloved brother, Jallul Baba-Ahmed, yesterday. My heart goes out to you and your entire family,” Obi said.
He prayed for the repose of the deceased, asking Almighty Allah to grant him eternal rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus and give the family the strength and patience to bear the loss.
Obi also assured the former vice-presidential candidate of his support during the difficult period.
“I stand with you in this difficult time,” he added.
