Former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Isa Pantami, has sparked fresh political reactions after accepting the governorship ticket of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Gombe State—despite previously being one of the party’s vocal critics.

Pantami, who served under the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, said his decision was influenced by what he now describes as the PDP’s “development legacy” in the state.
