“Philippine resort guests find king cobra emerging from toilet. In the central Philippines, guests at a resort in Don Salvador Benedicto, Negros Occidental province, were startled when a king cobra emerged from a toilet bowl. The highly venomous snake is believed to have entered the plumbing system in search of cooler conditions as temperatures rose in the area,” the caption read.
The king cobra had concealed itself well inside the toilet hole, although part of its tail and scales were visible, drawing the guest’s attention.

Using a stick, the guest cautiously poked inside the toilet in an attempt to disturb the reptile, which appeared to be resting peacefully in the water.
At first, the snake remained motionless, though bubbles emerging from the water indicated it was alive and breathing.
After being prodded for a few moments, the cobra slowly turned and extended its neck out of the toilet hole, staring directly at the guest while flicking its tongue.
“Resort staff and local wildlife officials safely removed the reptile. No one was injured,” the caption added.
