A disturbing incident has sparked reactions online after a masquerade was seen assaulting a woman during the Urheovware cultural festival in Delta State.………
In a video circulating on social media, the masquerade, approached the woman and struck her, causing panic at the scene.
The middle-aged lady was seen crying profusely after she received maximum beating from the masquerade.
The incident has since generated mixed reactions online, with many Nigerians condemning the act and calling for stricter measures to ensure public safety during cultural events.
Others have urged community leaders to reinforce guidelines governing the conduct of masquerades to prevent similar occurrences in the future.
