ValueJet is set to launch two new routes: Owerri to Abuja and Accra to Banjul, with the aim of expanding and strengthening regional integration across West Africa.
This is according to a statement issued to newsmen by the airline’s Managing Director, Captain Omololu Majekodunmi, on Tuesday.
The statement said the airline will begin daily flights from Owerri-Abuja on May 18, 2026 to create a direct link between the South East Geopolitical Zone and Nigeria’s Federal Capital Territory.
Majekodunmi said that the airline would start the Accra-Banjul route on May 14, 2026 in line with its regional expansion strategy.
The Managing Director said the Owerri-Abuja route would serve the travel needs of businessmen, professionals, government officials, families, students, and leisure travellers.
He said the airline would operate the Accra-Banjul route three times weekly, expressing the hope that it would promote regional mobility, tourism, trade, and economic collaboration within West Africa.
