Precious Chiwendu, a model, has stated that she suffered physical abuse during her marriage. Chiwendu said the abuse happened even when she was pregnant with her first child.
In an interview with Chude Jideonwo on With Chude show, Chiwendu said after her pregnancy was confirmed and it was revealed that she was carrying a baby boy, her ex-husband still attacked her.
Chiwendu said her ex-husband would punch her in the stomach while she was pregnant. She said he would insult her and refer to the baby in her womb as cockroach. She said he often told her that he would remove the “cockroach” from her stomach, meaning he would get rid of her pregnancy.
Chiwendu said the abuse was not a secret, as many people were aware of what she was going through.
In Chiwendu’s words: “Even when I was pregnant with my first child. When it was confirmed that I was pregnant, it was even confirmed that it was a boy and he knew.
