Nollywood actress Etinosa Idemudia has asked a question about the double standard in cheating.
In the wake of Frank Edoho’s ex-wife scandal with singer Chike, Etinosa questioned why it is okay for a married man to cheat on his wife, but the reverse is the case for the wife.
“Pls I want to ask a question?
So is it ok for a man to cheat on his marital wife, and is it not ok for a wife to cheat on her matrimonial husband?
Be honest and realistic”.
In a previous post, Etinosa said the abomination of adultery isn’t for only one génder, and admonished both married womén and men to keep their bodies as a sacred temple. Etinosa said society should stop the double standard, as what is good for the goose is also good for the gander.
Similarly, comedian MC Lively noted how it is acceptable when a married man cheats repeatedly. Still, when a woman does it, it is considered an abomination. The comedian made men realise that their ego will take them down, noting that women will have more power, wealth, and will in the future.
Pretty Mike had sent a message to his gender against sleeping with married women. He admonished such men to leave married women alone to avoid regret in future. The socialite admonished them to respect their fellow man, noting that a woman who betrays her husband for one will betray him for someone else.
Do2dtun said there was no justification for cheating for any man or woman. He stressed that we should stop accepting nonsense for the sake of winning arguments and call a spade a spade.
BBNaija Tuoyo, had pondered how he could conveniently sleep with married women. Describing it as pure wickedness, he stated that no matter how wild he is, sleeping with another man’s wife is off limits, and even money can’t change that.
BBNaija Tochi said this generation doesn’t have the same level of tolerance, patience, and endurance that our mothers and fáthers had, and are too woke. He suggested that marriages should come with a contract, and whoever breaks it should pay a penalty.
