Demola Olarewaju, an aide to the African Democratic Congress, ADC, 2027 presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has alleged that the All Progressives Congress, APC, prefers to deploy police officers to protect President Bola Tinubu’s billboards rather than use them to safeguard Nigerians.

Olarewaju made the claims while noting that Tinubu’s stance of politics of power and not policy should not be allowed again by Nigerians.

He was reacting to a post on social media that the “Edo State Government allegedly deployed police officers to protect Tinubu’s campaign billboards from vandals, around Ring Road. Locals say the officers take shifts in guiding the billboards.”

Posting on X, Olarewaju wrote: “APC will rather use police officers to guard Tinubu’s campaign billboards and fortify themselves than deploy them to protect Nigerians.

“Tinubu’s belief in politics for the sake of power and not policy is a mistake that must not be allowed to happen again in 2027.”
