Former Vice President and Presidential Candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), Atiku Abubakar, has condemned in strong terms the judgment seeking the deregistration of the ADC and several other opposition political parties.Newspapers
In a statement issued by his Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication, Phrank Shaibu, the former Vice President expressed concern that the judgment was delivered despite a subsisting order of the Court of Appeal which had stayed further proceedings in the matter pending the determination of an appeal.
The former vice-president described the move as a grave threat to constitutional democracy and a calculated attempt to weaken opposition forces ahead of the 2027 general elections, stressing that the ruling should alarm all Nigerians who believe in democracy, political pluralism and the rule of law….full news here
