TranESS has introduced a new energy storage solution aimed at commercial and industrial solar power users as part of efforts to expand battery storage options in Nigeria’s growing renewable energy market.

As businesses and households embrace solar power and self-generation due to grid outages, the need for energy storage solutions has become critical to keep the lights on, especially when the sun is no longer in the sky.

As a result, TranESS unveiled the DYQUE 125kW/241kWh commercial and industrial energy storage system during its commercial and industrial channel launch event held in Lagos on Thursday, where it brought together distributors, engineering, procurement and construction contractors, installers, project developers, financiers and other stakeholders in the energy sector.

During the event, TranESS outlined plans to expand its presence in Nigeria’s energy storage market through partnerships with distributors, EPC contractors and installers.

The company also highlighted its after-sales support network, stating that customers would have access to 467 service centres across the country for technical support and maintenance services.

Speaking at the event, company representatives stressed the importance of energy storage in addressing electricity supply challenges and improving energy reliability for businesses.

“Our goal is to create a thriving ecosystem where our partners can succeed while delivering world-class energy solutions to customers across Nigeria,” TranESS Sales Director, Charlie Wang, said.

Wang stated that the launch of the DYQUE 125kW/241kWh system and the reintroduction of the ITEL 50kW and 16kWh modular battery platform demonstrate the company’s commitment to providing flexible, scalable and commercially viable solutions that support business growth and energy transformation.

The event also featured technical training sessions, product demonstrations, market presentations and discussions on opportunities within the commercial and industrial energy storage sector.

TranESS is the energy business unit of Transsion Group and operates in several countries across Africa, Asia and the Middle East through its itel Energy and DYQUE brands. The company provides renewable energy and battery storage solutions for residential, commercial, industrial and utility-scale applications.

Senior Technical Manager, Edward Kim, explained that the newly launched DYQUE 125kW/241kWh storage system is designed for commercial and industrial applications and combines power conversion, battery storage, thermal management and fire protection systems in a single platform.

Kim said the system could be integrated with solar photovoltaic installations, battery storage facilities and diesel generators while allowing users to switch between grid-connected and off-grid power supplies.

He added that the product is backed by a five-year warranty and is intended for applications such as backup power, load shifting, peak shaving and renewable energy optimisation.

In addition to the launch, the company announced the reintroduction of its ITEL 50kW Commercial and Industrial Energy Storage Solution and a 16kWh modular battery system.

It said the modular battery platform allows users to increase storage capacity by stacking up to 12 battery units, depending on their energy requirements.
