During an interview with TrustTV News on Thursday, June 4, 2027, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, a former vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, has assessed the opposition leaders in Nigeria.
In recent times, several political leaders have scampered around various political parties in search of a viable platform to defeat the ruling government led by Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the forthcoming 2027 presidential election.
However, during the interview, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, a former vice presidential candidate for the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 election, stated that the politicians parading themselves as opposition are merely office seekers.
In a swift turn of events, Datti Baba-Ahmed stated that ex-president Goodluck Ebele Jonathan contesting the presidency in 2015 was a mistake.
The former Labour Party LP flag bearer also mentioned that if he had realized on time, he would have warned the ex-president, Jonathan, against contesting the 2015 election, as it will destroy him.
