According to court documents, the allegations stem from an incident at a Take 5 Oil Change branch in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.
Investigators say officers responding to the business found signs of forced entry, including a broken window, following a reported burglary.
How much was stolen?
The business manager told authorities that approximately $200 (KSh 25,900) had been taken from a safe inside the premises.
However, a malfunctioning security camera reportedly failed to capture a clear image of the suspect’s face.
What has captured the public’s imagination is the unusual way investigators say the suspect was identified.
According to the arrest warrant shared by the New York Post, the manager recognised Wings, a former employee, by the way he walked.
How ex-boss identified Wings
Authorities reportedly compared previous surveillance footage of Wings working at the business with footage from the burglary and concluded that both individuals shared the same “distinctive walk”.
Police said Wings had been dismissed from his job around two weeks before the alleged break-in took place.

Why Wings’ case went viral
The influencer, who has amassed more than 600,000 followers across his social media accounts, is known for creating humorous skits and comedy content.
His online popularity has only amplified interest in the case. Despite the allegations, Wings has strongly denied wrongdoing.
In a statement issued through a spokesperson, he described the claims against him as false and insisted there was no evidence proving he committed the offence.
“There is no evidence or camera footage to prove anything,” the spokesperson said, adding: “We will see them in court.”
The case is now expected to proceed through the legal system, where prosecutors will seek to prove the allegations while Wings maintains his innocence.
As with all criminal cases, the charges remain allegations until tested in court and any defendant is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
