“Teacher Marion Mukenyi fire evacuation drills are supposed to be done quarterly. You deserve a trophy mwalimu…good job Onesimus Kipchumba Murkomen come and see.”

Liora Alba Lumi:

“Yes. When smoke fills a room during a fire, the hottest smoke and toxic gases usually rise and collect near the ceiling. The air closest to the floor is often clearer and contains more oxygen, so staying low and crawling toward an exit can help you breathe and improve your chances of escaping.”

How did Kenyans react to the story?

Mercy Ndirangu:

“Very necessary, but tell them they can exit through the windows too! And they don’t have to die a hero saving anyone.”

Shiro Cyrus

“Waoooo…you are teaching them the life saving skill.”

Mohamed Mahamud:

“The direction of the prevailing wind was one of the factors to consider that is prerequisite during such times that is missing from here.”

Commissar Alex Githinji:

“Quite good but the panic that comes with real fire , you are likely to forget all this.”

Newton Munene:

“What if the fire is at the exit..si kwa ubaya but sometimes people dont die in tragedies/accidents because they lack common sense ukijipata ndio utajua..try coming within 10 meters of an inferno and you will know how bad it is.”
