Africa’s leading innovation centre, Co-Creation Hub (CcHUB), with focus on accelerating the application of social capital and technology for economic prosperity, has partnered with the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry, to equip young Nigerians with the skills, resources, and opportunities needed to thrive in the digital economy.

This was contained in a press statement circulated among journalists by the LCCI.

The partnership which was brokered under a Mastercard Foundation-supported programme designed, was formalized through an Implementation Agreement signed on May 7, 2026.

According to the statement, the partnership appoints LCCI and Industry as a designated partner hub responsible for delivering high-quality learning experiences and providing access to digital infrastructure for thousands of youths across Lagos State.

Under the initiative, the statement disclosed that 2,850 participants will be supported in the first year, with a total allocation of 85,500 learning vouchers, adding that the scheme aims to bridge skills gaps, enhance employability, and create pathways to sustainable economic opportunities for young people.

“As part of its implementation role, LCCI will provide participants with access to a modern learning environment through its LCCI-BOI Innovation Hub in Ikeja, offering a minimum of 100 computer workstations, reliable high-speed internet connectivity, stable power supply, and a conducive space for learning, collaboration, and innovation. The facility will be open to participants from Monday to Saturday, ensuring flexible access to digital learning resources.

“Beyond infrastructure, the partnership will foster vibrant learning communities through peer-learning sessions, mentorship opportunities, networking engagements, and community-driven activities. A dedicated Learning Community Coordinator will be deployed to facilitate participant engagement, monitor learning progress, and coordinate monthly learning events that promote inclusion, collaboration, and knowledge sharing.

“A key feature of the program is LCCI’s commitment to ensuring equitable access for underserved populations, including women, persons with disabilities, and displaced youth, creating an inclusive ecosystem where every participant can develop relevant digital and professional skills” the statement confirmed.

Meanwhile, LCCI has described the collaboration as a strong endorsement of its capacity to deliver impactful development programs.

The Chamber’s Director General, Dr. Chinyere Almona, made the assertion, saying, “This partnership reflects the confidence that leading innovation and development institutions place in LCCI as a credible programme delivery partner, adding that the collaboration aligns perfectly with the body’s  commitment to human capital development, digital skills advancement, youth empowerment, and inclusive economic growth.

LCCI affirmed that through the initiative, it was “creating opportunities for thousands of young Nigerians to gain the competencies required to succeed in today’s rapidly evolving economy.”

The Eagleonline reports that CcHUB, Africa’s leading innovation centre, is widely recognized for accelerating the application of technology, innovation, and social capital to drive economic prosperity across the continent.

Through the emerging  collaboration, CcHUB and LCCI are combining their respective strengths in innovation, enterprise development, capacity building, and ecosystem engagement to deliver meaningful impact at scale.

The duo is building pathways to learning, innovation, entrepreneurship, and economic prosperity, ensuring that more young Nigerians are productively engaged and empowered.
