Former Big Brother Naija housemate Queen Mercy Atang may be on the verge of a global milestone after Guinness World Records took notice of her eye-catching bread-themed outfit worn at the 12th Africa Magic Viewers’ Choice Awards (AMVCA).
In a comment on her Instagram page, the official Guinness World Records account hinted at a possible record attempt, referencing an existing category for the largest cake dress.
Queen quickly acknowledged the comment, signaling her awareness of the potential opportunity.
The interaction has only fueled the already buzzing conversation around her unconventional red carpet appearance, which has continued to trend on social media and in fashion circles well after the event.
According to Guinness World Records, the current world record for the largest wearable cake dress is held by Natasha Coline Kim Fah Lee Fokas of SweetyCakes GmbH, who achieved the feat in Bern, Switzerland, on January 15, 2023, with a dress weighing 131.15kg.
