OmulueCommunity-in-Council in Agbor Kingdom, Delta State, still groans in pain over the death of their illustrious son and the heir apparent to the throne, Prince Francis Ojeh.

Alex Johnbull was said to have accidentally knocked the prince down while he was crossing the road, and he later died in the hospital.
Prince Ojeh’s life was cut short after battling for his life in the hospital.

The community spokesman, Chief Ifeanyichuku Ojezi, speaking with select pressmen in his chambers at Agbor, expressed displeasure over the ill-fated incident that threw the community into mourning and state of confusion owing to the vacuum created by Prince Ojeh’s demise.

Chief Ojezi said the community is seriously seeking information regarding the whereabouts of Johnbull, described as a figure of interest in connection with the incident leading to Ojeh’s death.

“Members of the public are hereby encouraged to come forward with any useful information regarding the whereabouts of Johnbull to enable the authorities complete the investigation and proper cleansing and punishment to take place.

“All information will be handled with strict confidentiality and individuals who provide useful details will be duly rewarded with up to N5 million,” Ojezi assured.

Further probe by our correspondent into the matter, however, revealed that Johnbull had fulfilled the necessary rites required from him by Prince Ojeh’s community for his burial.
Some community members who spoke to our correspondent on condition of anonymity said there was no need still hunting for Johnbull after he met all the rites.

“The incident was unfortunate but what can we do? Because the young prince did not make it alive,” one of the community leaders said.

He added that “the family of the accused person who accidentally knocked Prince Francis down while crossing the road has fulfilled all the traditional rites and cleansing to allow his body to be buried and enable peaceful coexistence among community members, yet one of the relatives is pressurising the community-in-council to reopen the matter, demanding for the return of Johnbull to face capital punishment.

“That is not what was deliberated in the process of our discussions.”
