Governor Hyacinth Alia has declared that he remains committed to building a stronger and more prosperous Benue state as he marked his 60th birthday.

In a message shared on Friday, the Benue governor expressed gratitude to God for the gift of life and the opportunity to serve the people of the state.

“Today, I turn 60, and my heart is full of gratitude to God Almighty for the gift of life, mercy, and the privilege to serve the good people of Benue State,” he said.

Alia described attaining the age of 60 as “a story of grace, growth, and service to humanity”, adding that “through every season, God has remained faithful, and I do not take this journey for granted,.”

The governor said he was using the occasion of his diamond jubilee to renew his commitment to governance and development in Benue.

His words: “As I celebrate this diamond age, I renew my commitment to the great people of Benue State. We are building a state that works for everyone; stronger institutions, better opportunities, and a future our children can be proud of.

“I sincerely thank every son and daughter of Benue State, at home and in the diaspora, for your prayers, support, and encouragement.

“You are the reason we keep going, even when the task is tough. At 60, I feel more focused, more energized, and even more determined to serve with integrity and purpose. Please join me in giving thanks today. To God be all the glory.”
