Nairobi, Kenya: A grandson of the departed Nairobi Hospital Director Job Obwaka has broken down while asking what he was going to do now that the doctor is gone.

The veteran gynaecologist Job Obwaka died aged 83 at The Nairobi Hospital after collapsing at a house in Kitengela and was rushed to the hospital in an ambulance.

His death came weeks after a controversial arrest linked to governance disputes at the Kenya Hospital Association that saw him end up at the Milimani Law Courts, and at the time, he was hospitalised because his health had deteriorated.
During his requiem mass at CITAM Valley Road, his grandson moved many people with his account about how his grandfather took good care of him and was also a father figure to him.
“My grandfather used to take me to school everymorthing and he was always there for me; he used to ask me what you would do when I’m gone?” said the teen.
A loving daughter identified as Gloria also tickled many when she also that Obwaka used to plait their hair, and they would walk around in the matutas standing at attention.

Court frees Beatrice Wangari
In a different story, the High Court ordered that Beatrice Wangari be released after post-mortem findings showed how Dr Job Obwaka died.
In her ruling, Justice Kavedza Diana Rachel said that the findings of the autopsy weakened the basis for the woman’s continued detention.
The court also directed Wangari to report to investigators daily but found no evidence she had failed to cooperate or posed a flight risk.
