In a recent video shared on Symfoni TV, Yunusa Tanko spoke on the leadership style of Peter Obi and the growing cooperation between supporters of the Obidient Movement and the Kwankwasiyya political movement.

During the event, Tanko stated, “Kwankwasiyya member said Obi rejected a ₦300m wristwatch, saying it was too heavy to wear.” He made the remark while narrating what he described as an example of Obi’s humility and commitment to the welfare of ordinary Nigerians.

Tanko explained that the story was shared with him by a member of the Kwankwasiyya movement, who claimed that Obi declined to keep the expensive wristwatch and instead instructed that it should be sold so the money could be used to support the education of Nigerian children. According to him, the incident reflected the values of sacrifice and compassion that many supporters associate with Obi.

He further praised Obi for promoting what he described as a different style of politics centered on accountability, prudence, and service to the people. Tanko noted that many Nigerians continue to identify with Obi’s message because of their desire for responsible leadership and national development.

Tanko also commended Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso for his contributions to education and human capital development, especially in Kano State. He stated that supporters of both political movements increasingly believe cooperation between like-minded leaders could help reshape Nigeria’s political future.

Speaking on the Obidient Movement’s activities, Tanko said the organization has continued to strengthen its structures across the country, with representatives and coordinators established at state and local government levels. He stressed that the movement is focused on grassroots mobilization and direct engagement with communities.

He concluded by encouraging supporters to remain committed to building political structures at the local level, insisting that elections are won through physical participation, unity, and sustained grassroots efforts rather than social media campaigns alone….See More
