Desmond Elliot, a veteran Nollywood actor and member of the Lagos State House of Assembly, has stated that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu intervened after lawmakers removed Mudashiru Obasa as Speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly
In an interview with TVC, Elliot said President Tinubu invited all the members of the Lagos State House of Assembly to a meeting. He said during the meeting, Tinubu found out that the lawmakers had been misled into removing Obasa as Speaker
Elliot said Tinubu told them he had forgiven all of them and then instructed them to return peacefully and allow Obasa to continue as Speaker of the Assembly. He said Obasa eventually returned as Speaker and the political tension within the Assembly was settled
