A chieftain of the Nigerian Democratic Congress (NDC), Peter Obi, has reached out to his former running mate, Datti Baba-Ahmed, to express his condolences following the passing of Baba-Ahmed’s younger brother.
Obi shared his sympathies through a post online, on Friday, describing Datti Baba-Ahmed as a dear younger brother and conveying his deep sorrow over the loss.
He extended his thoughts and prayers to Baba-Ahmed and the entire Baba-Ahmed family during what he acknowledged as a deeply painful period of grief.
In his message, Obi prayed for divine forgiveness for the deceased, for him to be granted the highest level of paradise, and for the family to be blessed with the strength and patience needed to bear their loss. He also invoked comfort for all those mourning and expressed trust in God’s ultimate plan.
