Special Adviser to President Bola Tinubu on Policy Communication, Daniel Bwala has criticised former Anambra State governor and 2023 presidential candidate, Peter Obi, over his recent comments explaining why he left different political parties.

Bwala reacted in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, after Obi stated during an interview on News Central TV that he left the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) because he was forced to leave and exited the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) because of his principles.

In his response, Bwala accused Obi of attempting to justify his movement across political parties by portraying it as an act of principle. “He is trying to change the narrative by saying that he changed parties like table tennis because of his principles,” Bwala wrote.

The presidential aide further criticised Obi’s explanation using a sharp analogy. “Like an ostrich he thinks because he buries his head in the sand of shame that he is hidden from exposure. So nomadic politics is principle? Funny,” he added.
