The matter was reported to Central Police Station, and the search continued in hospitals, police stations, and other places without success.

His body was later found and identified by his family at Muriety Health Centre mortuary, although the cause of death remains unknown,” part of the report read.

He added that the body was swollen and badly decomposed, making identification difficult.

Joseph also noted that after tracing the landlord, they were informed that the house had been rented to a witch doctor.

Residents initially feared the body belonged to the tenant because a bottle was found beside the deceased.

It was later that the family went to the mortuary, where they identified the body as that of their missing relative.
