A Nigerian couple living in the United Kingdom has become the subject of widespread online discussion following reports of a marital breakdown linked to alleged infidelity and disputes over shared assets and immigration status.

According to a report by Ghbase News, the husband, identified in circulating social media posts as Ugo, reportedly sponsored and supported his wife after bringing her to the UK through a student immigration arrangement.
Online accounts claim he assisted her financially as they settled abroad, helped improve their living conditions, and continued supporting the family after the birth of their child. Reports further allege that he purchased a vehicle for her and worked to maintain stability within the household.

However, the marriage allegedly began to collapse after suspicions of infidelity emerged. According to the circulating claims, the husband later discovered that his wife had reportedly been involved in a relationship with another man.
The situation is said to have escalated into separation and divorce proceedings. Social media reports further claim that the husband stopped making payments connected to the vehicle, leading to its repossession.
Additional unverified reports allege that the woman’s immigration status may have been affected following the collapse of the marriage, potentially requiring her return to Nigeria. Authorities in the UK have not publicly confirmed these claims.
The story has generated mixed reactions online, with some social media users sympathising with the husband over the alleged betrayal, while others argued that counselling or reconciliation efforts could have been explored, particularly because a child is involved.
Relationship experts note that migrant couples often face unique pressures, including financial strain, emotional stress, cultural adjustment, and demanding work schedules, all of which can place pressure on marriages if communication breaks down.
