The non-indigene community in Ojo Local Government Area of Lagos State has declared its support for the House of Representatives aspiration of Mr Mohammed Emiabata following his official expression of interest and submission of nomination forms to contest on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).

The endorsement, observers say, reflects growing confidence in Emiabata’s leadership qualities, accessibility, and commitment to inclusive and people-oriented representation.

Community leaders, youth groups, professionals, traders, and various support organisations across the Ojo Federal Constituency described his aspiration as timely and capable of delivering responsive representation to the people.

According to stakeholders within the constituency, the diversity of Ojo remains one of its greatest strengths, noting that Emiabata’s aspiration resonates with the hopes and expectations of residents across ethnic, religious, and social lines.

Speaking during separate consultations with supporters, the stakeholders stressed the need for leadership that understands the everyday realities of the people and remains committed to equitable development, youth inclusion, and community advancement.

Secretary of All Ojo Non-Indigenes and a prominent leader of Ohanaeze Ndigbo in Ojo Federal Constituency, Cletus Ahaotu, said the decision to endorse Emiabata was based on his proven character and relationship with the people.

“The non-indigene community and Ohanaeze Ndigbo have endorsed Mr Emiabata because experience has shown that only individuals with honourable disposition, humility, responsiveness, and compassion deserve the people’s support,” Ahaotu stated.

“We can no longer support leaders who get to Abuja and fail to reconnect with the people until another election cycle approaches,” he added.

Addressing supporters, Emiabata called on residents across the constituency to remain united, politically engaged, and committed to the democratic process as preparations for the election gather momentum.
“I will not betray your trust,” he assured supporters.
