A lady has triggered widespread reactions on social media after taking a strong stance against those who justify infidelity in relationships, insisting that cheating remains unacceptable regardless of any issues within a marriage or romantic partnership.
She made the comments while reacting to the ongoing online discussions involving media personality Frank Edoho, his former wife, and singer Chike.
In a firm post shared on Thursday, she questioned why some women attempt to excuse cheating by pointing to emotional neglect or financial difficulties in relationships.
“The day women start telling each other the truth instead of constantly defending nonsense, that’s the day we’ll witness real liberation,” she wrote.
“Madam, simple question, did you cheat with Chike or not? All this ‘he wasn’t providing’, ‘I was unhappy’ explanation no change the fact that cheating is cheating. You had every opportunity to leave the relationship instead of being dishonest,” she added.
She further criticised women who appeared to support the alleged affair in comment sections, stressing that accountability should not be abandoned in the name of gender solidarity.
“And the most annoying part is seeing some women in the comments applauding it like it’s something to be proud of. Una really need to stop normalising rubbish. E ti ya wehrey. Zero sense of accountability,” she stated.
