The CEO of Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy, Waheed Buruj Salaudeen, has applauded the Italian Consulate General, Ugo Boni, for organizing a successful football tournament for young talents.

While speaking on Sunday 7th June 2026, Salaudeen said, “First of all, I would like to appreciate the Italian Consulate General in Lagos, led by Ugo Boni, for organizing this wonderful tournament. I also commend Emmanuel Babatunde Omije and the entire Rudder Sports Management team, as well as Ken Enofe, for their efforts in making this competition a success”.

“This tournament has been a fantastic platform for young players to showcase their talents, gain valuable experience, and interact with scouts and football stakeholders. Beyond football, it has promoted friendship, discipline, and cultural exchange between Nigeria and Italy.”

“At Buruj Football Club and Sports Academy, we are committed to developing young talents both academically and athletically. We are proud that some of our players have had the opportunity to participate and perform well in this competition.”

“As we celebrate today’s final, I encourage all the players to enjoy the moment, play with passion, and demonstrate good sportsmanship. Whether they win or lose, the experience gained here will contribute significantly to their growth and future careers.”

“I believe this tournament will continue to open doors for young Nigerian talents and strengthen the relationship between Nigeria and Italy through sports. Thank you to everyone who has contributed to the success of this event.”

“We are proud of the performances of our players throughout the tournament. Young talents like Raheem Moyinoluwa Salaudeen and Fawas Ayomide Adeleke have shown great character and quality.”

“We hope this exposure will help them continue their development and move closer to achieving their dreams of representing Nigeria at higher levels.”
