“I thank God for enabling me to complete my studies safely and return home, where I currently live. I am grateful to God for being selected to join the National Service (JKT). I was initially selected in Mbozi District, Mbeya Region, but due to my special needs as a visually impaired person, I will attend the Ruvu JKT camp instead. Therefore, I am going to serve my nation as required by law,” she shared.

She noted that the support she has received from the authorities has been a major pillar in her success and has given her the motivation to keep striving towards her academic goals and life ambitions.

Winfrida vowed to make the most of her time at JKT, expressing her readiness to learn various skills that would help build her capacity, discipline, patriotism and life skills.

Furthermore, she pledged to be a positive role model for young people living with disabilities by demonstrating that disability is not a barrier to success.

“All the requirements needed for me to join JKT have been provided. Everything I need has been purchased for me, and the people who helped buy these items are members of the police force,” noted Winfrida.

The determined young woman also said the police were escorting and assisting her on her journey to join the National Service, a gesture for which she expressed deep appreciation.
