A Nigerian man has sparked reactions online after revealing why he attended the All Progressives Congress (APC) rally in Enugu State.

In a viral video circulating on social media, the unidentified man claimed that he was paid to attend the political gathering and insisted that his presence at the rally should not be interpreted as support for the party.

According to him, although he participated in the event, his voting decision would be based on his personal choice when the time comes.

“When it’s time to vote, I will vote for the right person. I only attended the rally because they paid us,” the man said in the video.

The clip has since generated widespread debate online, with many Nigerians sharing differing views on the practice of paying individuals to attend political rallies.

The identity of the man has not yet been confirmed.
