Jotun, a global leader in decorative and protective coatings, has strengthened its footprint in Nigeria with the opening of a new Inspiration Centre in Lagos, a facility designed to showcase the company’s latest innovations in colour, design and coating technology while supporting local capacity development.

Located at 741A Akinbo Savage Street, off Adeola Hopewell Street, Victoria Island, the centre is expected to serve as a hub for homeowners, architects, interior designers, contractors and other industry professionals seeking tailored paint and coating solutions.

The facility, according to the company, is part of its broader strategy to bring world-class products and technical expertise closer to customers while contributing to skills development and economic growth in Nigeria.

Designed as more than a conventional retail outlet, the Inspiration Centre combines product display, technical advisory services and training facilities. Visitors can explore a range of decorative paints for interior and exterior applications, as well as protective, marine and flooring coatings used in industrial and infrastructure projects.

A major attraction at the centre is its dedicated colour and design zone, equipped with interactive tools and curated displays that enable customers to visualise colour schemes and design concepts in real-life settings. The facility also offers technical support and personalised guidance on coating specifications for residential, commercial and industrial projects.

Speaking at the launch, Managing Director of Regency Overseas Limited, Jagdish Jethvani, said the company’s investment in local manufacturing and industry development underscores its commitment to deepening local content and creating economic opportunities.

“We took a bold step forward by investing in local manufacturing, and this strategic move will deepen Nigerian content, create jobs and support economic growth, especially within the oil and gas, energy and power, construction, hospitality and marine sectors,” he said.

Jethvani noted that the Inspiration Centre would also function as a capacity-building platform through continuous training and certification programmes for paint applicators and industry professionals.

According to him, the initiative aligns with the company’s commitment to sustainable development through local empowerment and skills enhancement.

Also speaking at the event, Jotun’s General Manager for the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, Gareth Alcock, said the company plans to expand the concept to other major cities across the country.

“We are excited to unveil this much-awaited Inspiration Centre and to announce our expansion plans to Abuja, Ikeja and Port Harcourt. These new locations will bring our premium decorative, marine and protective coating solutions closer to homes, facilities and major infrastructure projects across Nigeria,” Alcock said.

He added that the expansion would contribute to raising professional standards within the coatings industry and improve project delivery across key sectors of the economy.

Industry stakeholders at the launch described the centre as a significant addition to Nigeria’s construction and infrastructure ecosystem, noting that access to technical expertise and product innovation remains critical to improving quality standards.

With the opening of the facility, Jotun aims to strengthen its role in supporting residential, commercial, industrial and marine projects across the country while providing customers with direct access to expert consultations, product demonstrations and professional engagement opportunities.

The Inspiration Centre is now open to members of the public and trade professionals.
