How should things be done in Kenyan?

Kenneth Kisove, a teacher, shared that some principals and the entire school administration should reason out with the teachers, non-teaching staff, students and anybody else around the school in order to create a pathway of getting first-hand information instead of behaving too bossy, unreachable and tough for no gain, only to find property burnt into ashes and life lost.

“Again, let the government consider employing non-teaching staff and pay them well as per the salary scale instead of employing a Grade Six drop-out old mzee to keep watch with all this coldand pay them between KSh 7000 and KSh 10,000 …this is total nonsense,”he said.

How did Kenyans react to the story?

Muema Wambua:

“As fellow Kenyans, we stand in solidarity with you, even if not materially but through prayer. To the girls still recovering, May God restore you to perfect health and heal your wounds as per His promise in Jeremiah 30 v17. Be encouraged that you are not alone; that fellow Kenyans are standing with you. Be healed, stay healthy in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ. Amen.”

A total of 16 girls lost their lives by the time the inferno was put out, and by that time, some parents were told to report to the institution for DNA tests that would confirm the bodies of their children.

The parents started going with their daughters to console the bereaved families and also took their children along to meet other schoolmates who miraculously survived the fire.
