A Lagos Magistrate Court sitting in Ogba has on Monday, 28th April, 2026, arraigned 13 men over alleged offences that occurred at Ojo area of Lagos.

P.M.EXPRESS reports that the men were arraigned for allegedly conspiring to cause breach of peace and attempting to murder three persons.

The defendants were Semiu Toheeb, 32; Idowu Aina, 48; Morufu Sholanke, 57; Adebayo Abiodun, 44; Bola Orimolade, 52; Said Adebiyi, 39; Jimoh Akeem, 50; Tobi Bamidele, 32; Azeez Aliu, 35; Adebiyi Jamiu, 25; Raheem Fatai, 45; Aigbe Augustine, 57; and Adeogun Bamidele, 40. Police said others are now at large.

The Prosecutor, Supol Josephine Ihkayere, told the court that the defendants allegedly conspired among themselves on 27th April, 2026, at about 4:45pm at Ojo area to commit felony to wit: conduct likely to cause breach of peace, contrary to Section 411 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

The Police also alleged that the defendants assembled in a manner to cause chaos within Ojo and its environs, an offence punishable under Section 44 of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

The prosecution further alleged the defendants attempted to kill Oriyomi Solomon, Oriyomi Olabisi and Giwa Gafaru by inflicting grievous wounds and injuries on their heads with cutlass, broken bottles and knives. Police said the act contravened Section 230(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015.”

However, all 13 defendants pleaded not guilty to the 3-count charge with Charge No. MIK/2026 before the court.

ASP Roland Oderinde of Command Special Squad 2, State Headquarters, Ikeja, served as Investigating Police Officer.

The Presiding Magistrate, Mr. L.A. Owolabi, ordered the defendants remanded pending further advice from the Director of Public Prosecutions, DPP, which will determine if the matter will be transferred to the High Court or not over jurisdiction.

Legal experts say Section 230(a)(b) of the Criminal Law of Lagos State, 2015 prescribed life imprisonment for attempted murder. Section 411 prescribed 2 years imprisonment for conspiracy, while Section 44 prescribes 3 years imprisonment for conduct likely to cause breach of peace.
