Are children missing or its AI?

In another story, the increasing number of missing children caused a lot of anxiety among Kenyans, and some people tried to rubbish it, saying it is AI.

In one case, Cynthia’s daughter vanished moments after she briefly stepped out, while Linet believed her children were simply playing outside before they disappeared for more than two weeks.

The two mothers came out to share a painful reality, both trapped in fear, heartbreak, and endless waiting; while the police dismissed claims of a missing children “surge” and partly blamed AI-generated content, government data appeared to paint a different picture.
