President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has acknowledged that Nigeria is still facing major economic and security challenges, but insists that his administration has already laid the foundation for national recovery and long-term stability.

Tinubu made the remarks in a statement shared on his official X account on May 29, 2026, marking his third year in office.

The message comes at a time of intense public debate over the country’s economic reforms, rising cost of living, and ongoing security concerns across several regions.

In his address, the president admitted that not all the problems confronting the nation have been resolved. However, he maintained that significant groundwork has been done to reposition the country for future growth and development.

“We have not solved every problem, and we are not where we want to be, but the foundation for recovery has been laid. The task before us is now clear, we must ensure that the benefits of reform are felt more directly in the daily lives of ordinary Nigerians,” Tinubu said. READ FULL STORY HERE.
