Kenedy Nwokocha, spokesperson for the Southeast Obidient Movement, has defended the integrity of former Anambra State governor Peter Obi, saying critics have failed to present any evidence linking him to corruption despite the numerous allegations made against him.

Speaking during an interview on Signature TV, Nwokocha said Obi maintained transparency while leaving office and ensured that all relevant institutions and financial bodies were informed about the assets and accounts connected to his administration.

“When he was about to leave office, he called the EFCC, called everybody and said, ‘Come.’ He called the banks and said, ‘This is my stewardship, and this is the account of my stewardship.’ You know, in politics, people can say a lot of nonsense, but in all the things they say about Peter Obi, nobody has accused him of stealing money.”

Nwokocha maintained that the former governor conducted himself openly while in office and at the point of his exit, insisting that no credible accusation of financial misconduct has been established against him despite sustained criticism from political opponents.
