You Did Not Behave Like a Mother’ — Ayodele Fires First Lady Over Kidnapped Oyo Students, Teachers

The Leader of the INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has criticised Nigeria’s First Lady, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, over what he described as her silence regarding the abduction of teachers and schoolchildren in Oyo State.

Speaking on the growing insecurity crisis, the cleric accused the First Lady of failing to publicly advocate for the safe return of the victims, drawing comparisons with the response of former First Lady, Patience Jonathan, during the Chibok girls’ abduction saga.

According to Primate Ayodele, a motherly response would have required stronger public engagement and advocacy on behalf of the kidnapped victims and their families.

“Remi Tinubu, you did not behave like a mother at all. You should have done what Jonathan’s wife did. You never protested and demanded that these Oyo school children be brought back. Instead, you were busy distributing cars for political campaigns. I will tell you the truth,” he said.

The outspoken cleric expressed concern over the plight of the abducted teachers and students, urging government officials and relevant authorities to intensify efforts toward securing their release.
